We are a global team of over 35 strong and work across 7 cities. We have won industry awards for being one of the most innovative female led design agencies in Europe and for leading the hospitality industry in design. We are recognised for pushing boundaries and creating unique narratives for all of our projects from luxury hotels and resorts to wellness, food and beverage, residential and leisure.
Every project is unique & defined by strong narratives
Established 12 years ago by CEO Hilary Lancaster, FIG has grown to become known for it’s unique approach. Every project is different. We don’t ‘copy paste’. Our portfolio is varied due to our versatility and our ability to adapt the design specifically and totally to the brief of the client. We avoid a ‘house-style’, so that every project in the world is like no other.
We value diversity & collaboration
Our ‘Global Studio’ is made up of a diverse collaboration of highly talented designers – each one of us is at the top of our field. Our studios work together to bring fresh influences and ideas into our work via our own internal cultural diversity. The future is about collaboration – within our team, with clients, with suppliers, and fellow consultants. We are not ‘diva’s’. Our collaborative approach makes our projects smoother and communication lines are open – making for harmonious working relationships which we believe is one of the secrets to successful property development projects.
We are local, global & sustainable
As designers we have a responsibility to specify sustainable products and materials. We have a world-wide database of suppliers but will always prioritise sourcing in the country we are working in, using and supporting local suppliers and local teams, which ultimately saves our clients a lot of money while saving the planet too.
We bridge the two worlds of luxury and lifestyle
We have deliberately chosen to be both luxury and lifestyle interior designers. We are just as passionate about designing 5 Star Hotels and resorts as we are designing trendy edgy urban hotels, bars and restaurants. We love it all! Within the studio we have designers who have more luxury work under their belts and the same for the designers who are best at the edgy work – so we simply allocate the right designer to the right project! We do not believe in being pigeon-holed! We are free to design in many disciplines – that is where out talent lies.

Our team
Passionate about everything design
Globally we have a team of 35+ people – all of us at the top of our game. We are comprised of mostly mid to senior level designers with a core team of Design Directors and Partners leading teams and projects across all of our studios. We are structured in a way that allows us the flexibility to work on both small and large projects. We have a group of small offices globally instead of one large office in one city. This means that we can use one team locally or we mix teams from a variety of cities depending on the resource and expertise required. We are truly a ‘global studio’. CEO | Creative Director
Hilary Lancaster
Hilary is an award-winning designer and has been working in design for the last 20 years across all sectors. She began her career in Singapore with the large architectural firm, DP Architects, conceptualising the interiors of the landmark building – the Esplanade, Theatres on The Bay.
In Singapore she also started an award-winning interior design school teaching residential interior design. After moving to the UK she worked for prestigious architectural firms including HOK and Benoy Architects before heading up the interiors department of Dexter Moren Architects where she ran hotel projects for operators Accor and Intercontinental in London and Dubai as well as other retail and residential projects in London.
In 2007 she established Fusion Interiors Group (FIG) which she started with the design of a 5* Ascott Somerset luxury serviced residential property in Shanghai. Since the success of this project she has maintained Ascott as a client and worked with many well known commercial clients currently with Club Med.
Her design of the SKYBAR cafe in Manchester won a RIBA award and she has won ‘Most Innovative Interior Designer In Europe’ Build Award, 2016 and 2017. In 2018 and 2019 Hilary won a Global 100 award for excellence in Hospitality Design and Best Female owned Interior Design Company.

Zamri Arip
Having studied at the prestigious Architectural Association and influenced by his artist uncle and carpenter father, Zamri has honed his design skills for over 20 years at several leading studios in London and Singapore. He has made significant contributions to luxury hospitality and high-end residential sectors. Zamri’s design philosophy revolves around creating spaces imbued with strong narratives, rich historical context, and authentic elements.
Having delivered various projects in London, NYC, Munich, Riyadh, Qatar, Portugal, Spain, Singapore and Taiwan, Zamri joins FIG to oversee the London studio helping to develop its business worldwide.

Cecilia Clason Skjorten
Cecilia has been working for almost 20 years as an interior designer. She started out working in London with some of the city’s most respected interior designers, then she moved to Dubai in 2006 to work for Sheik Mohammed. Having delivered hospitality projects in the UK, UAE, France, Norway, Oman and Saudi Arabia, Cecilia has joined forces with Fusion Interiors Group to expand the group internationally. Clients include Aramco, Ritz Carlton Group, Holiday Inn, Jebel Ali Hotel Group,The Kempinski Hotel Group, The Radisson Blu Group, Shangri-la and Traders.

Indah Lukito
With over 30 years of experience, Indah brings a wealth of expertise to interior design, boasting a deep understanding of space planning, hospitality, office and project management, furniture and soft furnishing production, as well as procurement and sourcing. Indah has honed her commitment to crafting exceptional spaces through years of dedicated practice, ensuring each project is executed with precision and style.
In 2023, she joined the FIG Global Studio as a partner, contributing to international-scale hospitality projects
Design Director | Partner Sri Lanka
Dipika Dharmadasa
Dipika is a renowned Architect in the tropical Island of Sri Lanka. She registered with the ARB(Architectural Registration Board) in 1999, and has served both as a member of the Council and Board of Management of the Sri lankan Institute of Architects.
Dipika established her career even before she graduated from the Colombo School of Architecture, by designing her award winning private residence. Her career as an Interior Designer started in the early 1980s and later after qualiflying and training as an Architect she established her architectural practice in the year 2000, together with her partners, team and specialist consultants providing consortium consultancy services.
Her projects include Leisure, Business Hotels, contemporary and traditional restaurants, schools, commercial and retail buildings, residences and apartments.

Oriol Rius
Oriol Rius studied Interior Design at Elisava Design School in Barcelona, Spain. In 1999 he spent one semester at Denmark’s Design School. Just after his studies, he started working with SC+A on a few high profile projects including the investment offices of the Private Bank of Andorra, BPA, which won the FAD Architecture Award in 2004 and 2005 for the corporate offices.
Since 2002, Oriol has been teaching Interior Design and directing Final Year Project at Elisava Design School, in Barcelona. Oriol joined Fusion Interiors Group in March 2012 and has been working on several hospitality projects including the Citadines Barcelona and the Urban Lodge Hotel Amsterdam.

Aleksandra Adamchyk
Aleksandra graduated from the University of Fine Arts in Poznan Poland, where she later also taught in the studio of Furniture Design and Cooperation with Industry.
She gained extensive experience working as a freelancer on hospitality and retail projects with a number of design studios and individual clients while living in Berlin, London and now in Amsterdam.
For many years she worked together with Robert Angell on many up-scale hospitality projects like One Aldwych Hotel, The Berkeley Hotel, American Bar at The Savoy, Hilton Tower Bridge to name a few. Earlier she developed retail concepts for Harrods, Skagen, Pandora, and Topshop.
More recently Aleksandra delivered the design for the The Atlantic restaurant in Dubai and has since joined in partnership with FIG to bring her hospitality and F&B expertise to the BENELUX region and to the FIG global team’.

Irra R Rahma
Irra is a hospitality interior designer with a multidisciplinary background. She holds a degree in Architecture, a Master of Interior Design in Commercial Spaces from Istituto Europeo di Design, also an MSc in Sustainable Heritage from the Bartlett University College London.
She started her career working for a well-known Indonesian design consultancy Hadiprana until she joined Design Worldwide Partnership in 2011 as Hospitality Senior Designer, based in Bahrain.
Irra Joined FIG London in 2016 before she relocated to Qatar, where she led international design teams working simultaneously on large projects, responsible for full design packages, budget planning, and purchasing. In 2019, Irra returned to work with FIG as Design Director and running the Jakarta studio as Partner.

Sotiris Toumpelis
Sotiris Toumpelis studied Civil Engineering in Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. He followed his passion for creativity and design and continued his studies in Architecture. After graduating in 2009 he worked on various residential projects as a freelancer and in 2011 he established his Thessaloniki – based architectural practice.
Since then, his team of partners expanded, and his projects have been published in design websites, blogs, and magazines. Currently, his list of projects includes private residences and apartments, hotels, commercial spaces, restaurants, and medical centers.
As of 2022, he became a member of the FIG family, working as a partner on international scale hospitality projects.

Umut Servan Koyun
Umut began his professional career in Istanbul, where he worked for various residential, retail and hospitality projects. After moving to Paris, he took the role of senior concept designer for many international architecture and interior design projects. Since then, Umut has developed innovative and creative design solutions that combine creativity and technology with high-end detail solutions and innovative material combinations. Since the beginning of 2019, he has been working as a partner and senior interior designer at Fusion İnteriors Group on international scale hospitality and retail projects.

Rushdha Hamza
Rushdha graduated from the Academy of Design in Colombo, Sri Lanka. She began her interior designer career at the offices of Dipika Dharmadasa where she rose to the position of senior interior designer. She moved to London in 2006, where she has worked on many projects with Fusion Interiors Group based in India, Jordan, Dubai and the UK. Now, Rushdha lives in Jeddah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Rushdha is known for her eye for minimalistic design. She excels at design detailing such that she can translate the most basic of sketches to design drawings.

Alvaro Andruk
Alvaro joined FIG in 2017 and has since been a huge asset to the team. Alvaro is a brilliant multitasker and has the challenging role of managing Hilary’s diary, the teams marketing, maintaining all of our connections, news and social media. His speciality is organising FIG’s events!
