Weaving Wonderment
The textile industry was very prevalent on the river Thames with a tapestry factory being set up at Fulham at the end of the 17th Century. Houses were built and looms erected in the Mulberry-ground at Chelsea for weaving. We took the inspiration from these medieval images and mixed that with contemporary textiles to create a sumptuous, abundant, wonderland.
The River’s Rich Tapestry
The lounge design has a wide variety of furniture styles, bar seating, high table seating, perching seating, booth seating, feature chair seating and lounge style seating. The main aim is to fit as many people as possible into the space on match days. Acoustics will be considered by having a lot of fabrics to absorb the sound – even rugs in some areas if possible.
FIG’s concept and schematic design work for the Fulham Football Club new stadium development pitch was outstanding. We would highly recommend them as a creative and professional team of designers.
