Steakhouse style with a contemporary twist
This restaurant is a la carte with a sharing menu based on traditional Spanish food but with a contemporary twist. The meat is cooked on a barbecue that is open to the guests to see. We designed the open kitchen alongside Invisa who produced the joinery and with the cuisine consultant from Club Med.
An earthy, rustic, & raw palette
The palette of this restaurant is combines terracotta tiled flooring with rich wood veneers and metallic copper details. We used inexpensive copper chains to separate and privatise banquette seating areas. Walls are clad in copper and charcoal wood that are actually burnt planks wood produced in the factory of Invisa. Decorative lighting is selected for its raw industrial feel and metal construction.
Brasserie style open kitchen
The open kitchen ceiling feature really makes this space. 500 tubes of acrylic wrapped in metal straps line divide each horizontal beam. We lit them from above and below with led strip. The biggest challenge was coordinating the roof structure with the kitchen exhaust and cooking equipment! In the end we made it work through a massive team effort from every consultant from mechanical, to architect, to lighting!
