An emerald paradise inspired by local tropical planting
The concept of the restaurant was conceived by combining the vibes of two zones of the resort ‘Emerald Jungle’ and ‘Caribbean Paradise’. We then created Emerald Paradise!!
The colour scheme was based on Emerald Green and the lush feeling of the exuberance of nature gives that sensation of being in Paradise.
We designed the layout to be symmetrical within the space. A large banquette runs through the middle of the room, covered with a fabric we developed ourselves that was based on tropical flowers of Dominican Republic.
Two smaller circular banquettes are located on either side of the entrance. The main chairs are white with yellow cushions, the yellow being an accent colour.
The two large panels divide the room and create a dramatic feature of the interior. Monkey lights stand on top of the banquettes and are suspended on the glass panel feature.
Dramatic symmetry with ocean views
Rattan light features sculptural ceiling
We were fortunate to have the backdrop of the natural wood ceiling with its height and size for suspending natural fibre lighting features. The overall feeling is dramatic and gives guests the wow-factor that Club Med aspires to. Also the design shows how simple it can be to achieve this wow-factor.
Striking diagonal tiled flooring married with gold screens
The flooring detail is simple but stunning! The combination of green stripes on a white background on a diagonal line also creates a drama and another layer of interest. Wood screens with leaf patterns create private dining spaces on the sides of the restaurant but do not block the light or view.
We accessorised the central banquette feature with birds of paradise plants, emerald glass vases and palm trees.
