Exuding the light and freshness of Southern France
Situated in one of the most beautiful cities in Southern France, this hotel was our very first project for Citadines. The brief was to renovate the lobby, public areas and rooms, while avoiding any structural or ‘hard’ refurbishment. In the lobby we created a central sitting area which doubled up as a breakfast area.

Clever use of space
We created a seating area and TV corner displaying local art, uplifting and refreshing what was a very dull underused corner of the lobby. We dressed the lobby windows in a sheer fabric with a gold trim to match the gold in the accents of the interior. Seating in white faux leather brightened the space. The existing tile floor was retained.

Nautical stripes
The concept of the project was based on the French Riveria. We mixed blue and white with caramel that tied in with the existing warm oak wood flooring. We specified navy blue sofa fabric and blue and white paint finishes. We framed the TV with a mirror I set into the frame and we specified new striped curtains.

The Spirit of Cannes
The headboards were replaced with simple modern oak wood veneer headboards and we commissioned the photography artwork for above each bed. The photography captured the spirit of Cannes and brought the seaside atmosphere into every room.

Vibrant, inviting & fresh
The hotel has benefited from the refurbishment, enriching the guest experience. We worked to a tight budget and were able to bring our creativity into the project to transform the look and feel from a dated hotel to an inviting, comfortable, and relaxing ambience.
