St Michaels Resort taps into demand for exclusive use with new eight-bedroom beach house
St Michaels Resort in Falmouth has launched The Captain’s House, a new 8-bedroom beach house adjacent to the hotel in a bid to capture the rise in demand for more private accommodation types post Covid-19.
The hotel is planning to open the new addition on July 4, when hospitality is anticipated to be allowed by government to start trading again.
The Captain’s House is set over two floors with four bedrooms on each floor with a design inspired by Falmouth’s maritime history, the resort’s coastal location and Cornwall’s past.
The beach house will come with ‘fully flexible rates’ and new protocols for the ‘new normal’ published online.
St Michaels overlooks Falmouth’s Gyllyngvase beach and features 92 bedrooms, a fully comprehensive health club, two restaurants – including the health-focused Garden Kitchen and two AA rosette Brasserie on the Bay.
The resort’s spa is home to the world’s first Cornish sea salt steam room, a red cedarwood hot tub on the sun terrace, the largest hydrotherapy pool in the southwest and an outdoor Finnish barrel sauna.
