The Belfry Hotel & Resort in Sutton Coldfield has completed its multi-million pound renovation, resulting in the addition of new suites, an upgraded events venue and fitness club.
The resort announced an £80m expansion and renovation project in April 2024, following its sale to Goldman Sachs Asset Management and Cedar Capital Partners in 2021.
The project has enabled the property to almost double in size, offering 149 new bedrooms in the Brabazon House wing, which includes the resort’s first two-bedroom suite with a balcony.
Meanwhile, the Masters Suite, the hotel’s 852 sq m events space, can now host up to 920 guests for everything from banquets to conferences. The site has already received more than £80m in enquiries and secured £10m in confirmed business from clients such as DP World Tour and Teams Europe.

The Club wellness space features a variety of Technogym equipment, as well as a yoga, reformer pilates and spin studio for virtual and live classes. Guests also have access to the 25-metre pool, indoor and outdoor bubble pools, steam room and sauna.

The Belfry is situated in a 550-acre estate surrounded by three golf courses. It is the home of the British Masters competition and has hosted the Ryder Cup four times.
