Amsterdam, welcomes an addition to its accommodation scene with the opening of Citadines Canal Amsterdam by The Ascott Limited.

Situated in the heart of the city, this apart’hotel occupies 17th-century weavers’ houses, offering 93 rooms and apartments to guests. Located between Spiegelgracht and Reguliersgracht, in the Weteringbuurt district, Citadines Canal Amsterdam provides an ideal base for various travelers, including business guests, staycationers, and tourists exploring the city’s attractions.

Concerning the amenities, Citadines Canal Amsterdam provides daily breakfast, 24-hour reception, access to the gym, and a lounge bar. Furthermore, the property offers parking with charging stations for electric cars.

The interior designer Hilary Lancaster curated the property’s design, drawing inspiration from the weaving process that characterized the historic houses.

Originally a hotel, the property underwent extensive renovation after its acquisition by The Ascott Limited in 2021. Reintroduced as a Citadines apart’hotel on March 1, 2024, the building boasts an A classification on the local energy performance coefficient (EPC). Additionally, all European properties under the Citadines brand hold an EHS ISO 14001 certification, reflecting Citadines’ commitment to sustainability.

Citadines Canal Amsterdam marks the second location of Citadines in Amsterdam, complementing the existing Citadines Sloterdijk Amsterdam near the Sloterdijk station. This expansion aligns with The Ascott Limited’s aim to offer diverse accommodation options to travelers worldwide.
